Price per person
You can purchase a return group transfer here for €80 per person from Faro Airport or Faro Train Station. Our group transfers depart from 1630 to 2200 on arrival day and 0600 to 1030 on departure day.
Flight Information and Transfer
Once booked, please send your flight details to hello@wildviewretreat.com no later than 2 weeks before your retreat. Our taxi transfer company will then email you 3-5 days before your transfer to make contact and provide their details and of where to meet. They will have your mobile numbers and flight times and be tracking your flight and endeavour to ensure you do not wait more than 30 mins in the arrival hall. Wild View Retreat is only 40 minutes away from Faro – average arrival to check in time is between 1 hour – 2 hours depending on baggage claim and passport control queues.
Arriving Early / Leaving Later?
If you are arriving into Faro in the morning and don’t want to wait at the airport until 1630 you can head to Faro in your own taxi (€15) and then be collected by us from Faro Train station at 1630 instead of the airport. Leave your bags at the left luggage at Faro Train station (€3-5) and explore the old town and harbour area for a couple of hours and then lunch the Vegan Box, Vide Leve Vegetariano or The Flower Bar (12pm-3pm) all within 5-15 min walk of harbour. Please meet at 1630 at Faro Train station for your group transfer (or time agreed) and ensure to inform us if you wish to be collected there instead of the airport. Likewise if your flight home is late in the day you can be dropped in Faro if you prefer and make your own way later to the airport.
Private Transfer
We prefer all our guests to arrive on the same day and leave on the same day but if you need to arrive a day late or leave a day early, a private one-way transfer outside the group transfer times for one person is €60 (instead of the group transfer price of €40 one way). If the group return transfer of €80pp (€40 each way) has already been paid, an upgrade fee of €20 (Euros cash) is required to be paid to the Retreat Leader.
If the transfer, out of group transfer times, contains 2 or more people and the group return transfer fee of €80pp has already been paid, the upgrade to travel outside group transfer times is waived.
3 or More in the Group
If there are 3 or more guests in the same party on the same flight we can offer 3 transfers for the price of 2. Please notify us via email to confirm.
UBER or BOLT
It is now possible to use either of these services from Faro. However in almost ALL cases they get lost on the way to Wild View Retreat. This is because for reasons we do not understand, the sat nav goes via Cova da Muda and along a 10km dirt track that is NOT suitable for normal cars. We have had many guests turn up in tears having had to converse in pigeon Portuguese / English to their driver, spending hours trying to find us. This is why we highly recommend our 45 minute transfer service as Fernando’s team have been taking our guests to WVR for 8 years and do a great job. It’s going to cost more than Uber and Bolt for sure but it’s less of a head ache if we organise and manage it for you. You are welcome to take Uber or Bolt but you do so at your own risk. Please note it is not possible at all to order Uber or Bolt from the retreat, they simply won’t take the booking. Please make a note of our contact number if you get lost +351 925 677 144.
Check In / Out Time
A reminder, check in is from 1700 on arrival and 1030 on departure. We ask you to kindly not arrive before 1700 for check in as there will be no staff to receive you as we will all be busy getting the retreat ready for you.
